#Who Am I?
Hey there! I’m Nanditha Vijayan. An Artist, Surface Pattern Designer, Online Educator but most importantly I’m a mother to a beautiful boy.
#How it all started?
“With a creative mother and a father full of dreams, I was born with creative hands and a mind full of dreams.”
I have been a stay at home mom for almost 7 years trying to build my design career in Germany. There were so many barriers and blocks which I had to break through to strive towards creating a career for myself. Few of the biggest blocks were,
- Not knowing the language,
- the right tools and techniques that could help me be the designer I wish to become
- Not knowing how to paint, and find the right colors or
- even how to create artworks
My creative journey started in 2018 as a Skillshare teacher looking to find my answers to the big questions I faced in an interview.
This was the question. “Do you know how to create artworks & prints?”
Back then, I knew nothing about it. So I started learning on a platform called Skillshare & brushed up on my painting skills and also started teaching and helping other creatives create artworks on the same platform within 2 months of time.
As a stay at home mom, I invested my time, efforts and money into educating myself, exploring my skills and finding my answers to that big question to build a career as a pattern designer creating artworks and turning them into pretty surface pattern designs.
#What I do?
Today I am bringing A to D ACADEMY, Art to Design academy, where I share my answers after doing years and years of exploration with brushes, paints, patterns on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I am sharing everything that I have learnt in this journey so you don’t have to look for answers throughout the internet like I did, or fail an interview not knowing your answers, or spend years of time trying to explore the right techniques when using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
